FIFTH AMS CORPORATE FORUM - Arlington, VA - March 14-16, 2004
Stan Marsh represented NCIM at this forum. The forum was well attended with over 40 attendees. The Sessions were; Session on Earth Observations, Session on Weather and Climate Enterprise and a Legislative Topics Panel. The recommendations that came out of the forum were; 1. Communication gap exists between the Government and Private Sector; 2. Within the Private Sector, the manufacturers do not communicate with the consultants/scientists; 3. The NWS is reaching out for input and would appreciate it if the Private Sector could communicate with the via a single pipeline; 4. A golden opportunity exists for NCIM to influence this dialog; 5. Deadline of May 14, 2004 for comments on the NWS draft policy. |
