2010 NCIM Annual Meeting

This year’s NCIM annual meeting will be held in Albany, New York. Make your plans now for what we hope will be an exciting meeting, as well as an opportunity to see Upstate New York.

The tentative agenda is as follows…

Thursday evening (June 10)

NCIM Outreach to graduate level meteorology students of the University at Albany, one of the nation’s premier academic institutions in the atmospheric sciences community with a strong operational meteorology focus. President Dick Westergard will speak briefly about NCIM. Anyone else who would like to make some brief remarks should let Dick know ASAP. Otherwise, this will be a “meet-and-greet,” similar to our program at Howard University in 2006.

Friday (June 11)

	Field Trips to the University of Albany’s Atmospheric Sciences Research Center and National Weather Service Forecast Office/NOAA Research Institute at Albany, and to AWS Truewind, LLC, a nationally-recognized leader in renewable energy consulting
	NCIM Annual Banquet

Saturday (June 12)

General Meeting (morning)

-	Tentative guest speaker: Dr. Richard Spinrad, OAR Director

	Business Meeting (early afternoon)
	Board of Director’s Meeting (mid-afternoon)

meeting, and your hotel and travel as soon as possible.

Meeting registration: The registration fee will be $150 for NCIM members. This fee will include your dinner on Friday night. Guests and spouses may attend the dinner at an additional $60 per person. Please register ASAP, but no later than Thursday, May 27rd. Registration may be by check (payable to “NCIM” and sent to NCIM Treasurer, Kit Wagner) or by way of PayPal through the NCIM Web site.

Meeting Hotel: Hampton Inn-Wolf Road, Albany, NY

Special NCIM Rate $99/night (available June 10-13, 2010). Reservations must be received no later than Saturday, May 15.
